The heat is on, and if you are like me, you are planning to get a few new things for the summer season; but also intend to wear some of last years styles all over again. ME TOO! Here I am sharing my favorite tank tops from LAST summer and fully intend to wear them just as much this summer…..maybe update them with a new scarf, pendant or statement necklace, and my favorite Crossbody bag can always slightly switch up a look too!
NUMBER 1
What I like is the scoop neck (love how my statement necklace sat on my skin but within the lines of the straps), lined neck and arm holes and the slouchy material. This black and white striped tank top is from Madewell and no longer available; but I have found a few awesome similar ones and the most expensive one in this set is $35! SO affordable right?!
NUMBER 2:
I know, if you follow me closely, you are probably reeeaalllll tired of seeing this tank top; but when I find something I love, I wear the heck out of it. This one was super duper affordable and it’s price per wear is down to about 1 penny right now. I like it because it’s flowy, feminine, goes with khaki’s or jeans and can be dressed up or down AND can be layered with a scarf or a cute bomber or moto jacket. So incredibly versatile, and when I found a black one just like it at TJ Maxx for about $12.99 I scooped it up for sure. Here are a few similar tanks that you might like:
NUMBER 3:
This one…..was something I bought with a birthday gift card from Nordstrom last year. It is the brand Trouve, and I love it for so many reasons. Color, cut, slouch, longer torso so extra material at the bottom to work with, rounded front and back hem, zipper up the middle of the racer back and a low neckline, to accessorize alot of different ways. It also showed off my newly toned arms quite nicely AND since the racer back style mimicked my sports bra & running tops, it showed NO tanlines!! #score
Here’s a few other Trouve tops I thought were cute too:
I hope that helps you 1) know that you are not the only one trying to make last year’s seasonal wardrobe feel new again, 2) feeling like you need to replace some old faithful’s but want to be deliberate and spend your style dollars well! Let me know what else you are looking for this summer…I’m here to help!
