Here’s an everyday look I LOVE and think there is definately a version of this for everyone. It’s a great one for a day full of errands. In and out of the car, carrying package or purchases (maybe you are headed to Marshall’s or TJ Maxx and need to carry a lamp or load a chair in your vehicle). Maybe you are headed to the zoo and have kiddos to keep in check. Maybe a full day at the mall? Get ‘er done and look good doing it! PS. This outfit would look awesome any day with heels or these fun kicks.
EVERYDAY STREET STYLE – STEP 1
Grab yourself a pair of really awesome jeans. The denim I love is Rag & Bone (link below!), no secret there, and the distressed look is not going anywhere! Don’t be afraid to invest in a quality pair so they always look great for months or, hopefully years.
STEP 2
Grab your favorite colored top. Turns out, lately, I’m sporting all the black. This tank is one of my favorites from about three years ago, and you’ll NEVER guess the brand. YUP, Rag & Bone. I’m telling you, none of my investment pieces have ever let me down. Take care of them right and they will always look new. That said….I sure do love me the Clearance section at Nordstrom! #imonabudget
STEP 3
Take a really fun sneaker, because “running” errands isn’t always easy to do in heels, and stand out with those! A black tank and ripped jeans isn’t really that memorable….until you put a gold platform oxford runner with it. Heyyyyyyyy. I like to stand out a little. I like my style to look effortless; but pretty darn cool at the same time. Had I stuck with a black runner or even my Halogen slip ons, it wouldn’t have been enough.
These runners have got all kinds of attention since I got them a few months ago! They’ve been the best investment in, what I like to call my, Everyday Street Style. They can look dressy, or be casual footwear, that’s always comfortable. An all around win for sure! Listen, you can easily spend $50 on most casual shoes, find yourself a fun metallic runner and you’re golden! (no pun intended…)
FINISH THAT EVERYDAY STREET STYLE LOOK
I love the accessories! Just pulls the look together and helps seal the deal on effortless cool. A black crossbody messenger bag is perfect. This one has a leather strap; but if you wanted to avoid a necklace all together, you could go with one that has a chain and it will put some sparkle across your top easily!
My wrist is always a watch and three bracelets, or just three bracelets. Odd numbers look best in my books; but as we all know, fashion is a form of self expression, so if you wanted to stack those bangles to your elbow, go girl go! Finally, this necklace makes the right statement. It’s got a fun shape, has a little movement, a little gold accent, stands out very nicely against the black tank, and of course, layers well with my tiny arrow.
PS….what do you think of me owning that grey streak? As it grows longer, I’m kindof loving it! Just another thing that makes me uniquely me, and at almost 42, I’m embracing ALL OF IT. I hope you are loving all the things that set you apart too. Now let’s make your wardrobe match that!
