Lately I’ve noticed that my wardrobe is very consistent with black, navy, grey and my denim! Has that ever happened to you? Once in a while I will go out of my comfort zone and that is what this top is. I like bold colors. I’m not sure why I don’t buy more of them; but when I do, I go for it!
This top is part of a package from Stitch Fix actually (I’ve linked a few others in red that are pretty darn cute below), so I can’t take all the credit. In fact, I almost returned it. Soooo glad I didn’t. It pairs perfectly with the gold Stella & Dot accessories I love (see my Finish The Look Page above to find your faves!). Is a great compliment to my distressed denim and I can’t seem to find an outfit these heels DON’T go well with. SCORE! (side note, I found them because a blogger I follow was wearing them in a pic and I fell head over HEELS for them! All I had to do was click the link and bam! I was shopping! Instant gratification if I do say so myself. Â I love being able to shop through links after seeing it on someone….what do you think?? Easier to shop when you see it on someone else or what?!)
I would wear this outfit anyday for any reason. Low key outing to something really special. It’s a great spring/summer daytime look. In fact, I was walking around Hobby Lobby, got a compliment! She asked what I do, I said I’m a blogger. Her response…well, that must be in fashion because you certainly look put together. Â To which I responded with a heart felt thank you, because deep down I don’t just want to be a mom who takes great care of her kids and family. I want to be a mom that takes great care of me too…both inside and out.
There is no bad time to look “put together” my friends. I consider that a compliment and those are welcome any time in my world. Isn’t it amazing what taking a few extra minutes to plan out an outfit, or be inspired by one here, can do for you! I get we don’t always have time to get ready for the day; but if we have outfits in our closets that we know we feel great in, it makes it so much easier. Oh….and don’t be afraid to Go Bold once in a while…xoxo Taryn
