What’s better than a piece that can cross over multiple seasons? Not much when it comes to a classic, versatile wardrobe! Check out this article about a new green dress for all seasons.
GREEN MEANS GO FOR STYLE ANY SEASON!
I recently found this dress on the sale rack; but I don’t think it matters exactly where, this style is readily available at alot of different retailers. My favorite details are the real cuffs at the end of the balloon sleeve (I just think this makes the piece look more upscale and polished than a open bell sleeve), the V cutout in the front and no seams across the garment so I can belt it anywhere. It’s also got a V peephole in the back, so if I wore my hair up or in a ponytail that would look cute.
WAY #1
I will forever put my leopard print boots with 1) any dress and 2) especially green. I LOVE IT! They just WORK for me. I bet, as you start to get into your #methodmakever you will find the same for you. There will just be a combo you LOVE, and always feel like it works for you.
Here’s the skinny belt again! I love to use it to create a bit more fit on a less shapely piece (this is my favorite trick for all shapes, even if you have a straight, oval or heart shaped shape, the belt may not be for function; but for pulling your look together). While this belt is reversible and has snake skin print on the other side, I felt like the leopard boots were enough pattern. Adding the long pendant necklace just accentuates the V peep hole at the neckline, elongating the look. Again, when you have those finished cuffs it adds polish and structure to the look, which makes it easy to look slightly dressier / upscale, even when wearing it casually like this.

BAM! Am I right?! Want to go out and raise your man’s eyebrows?! This wide faux leather belt wraps around and has thin straps to tie at the front. It’s a bold piece, adds great shape and is a wow factor piece on it’s own; but just remember, ALL belts will bring up with hemline of your skirt. You may want to show some leg; but make sure it stays sexy, not inappropriate. The knee high boots have a pointed toe which you know I love because…why? It elongates the look! I didn’t even accessorize this look with anything other than this awesome Burberry clutch for pattern / pop of color.
WAY #3
Switching gears, need to go to the Farmers Market or grab coffee with a friend? This dress EASILY transitions to an everyday style powerhouse just by adding this fab blanket scarf (giving all the Fall vibes), fashion sneakers and that totally neutral bag I always carry. No belting here, so feel free to indulge in pizza or pasta for lunch, you’ll be stylishly comfortable no matter WHAT you eat, drink or do when you wear this.
WAY #4
Wait, are you wearing it as a SHIRT?! YEAH GIRL, YEAH I AM!! Isn’t that awesome!! I put my super sparkly statement necklace I love so much UNDER the shirt, so it’s just peeking out the V peep hole, added those black coated denim jeans I am constantly wearing, and my sequined black and gold heels. Finish with a metallic pewter clutch and I’m pretty much ready to head the grocery store! HAHA! Just kidding, I’ll likely also go to the bank. (#alwaysoverdressed)
WAY #5
Ok, so this one isn’t a whole lot different; but I added that wide black belt and some open toe ankle booties to give it a bit more of an edgy vibe. The red satin clutch is a major pop of color, and can we all just take a second to really appreciate the drape of the sleeves with those cuffs?! If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, it’s always the details of the pieces you pick that sets you apart from anyone else. And then it’s the way you STYLE the piece that makes you an original.
Happy Styling my Stylish friends!!
