This outfit I just loved….and all we were doing was taking the family to the mall to pick up one small thing and that was it; but any time out and about is worth showing up for, and the sun was DEFINATELY shining for the first time in a long time so I could not resist!
This is my favorite black tank top. It’s silk and from Rag and Bone. I scored this on the clearance rack at Nordstrom last Spring and have had one million opportunities to wear it. The cut is unique, it’s a bit fitted so it comes in at the sides and has a longer back than front, with a little bit of cutout down the front on both sides. If I can give you one tip when looking for tops, find ones with interesting details! What sets them apart from every other black tank top/tshirt/sweater? A pocket, or a hem, or a neckline….find the thing that makes it just a little bit “more”.
These jeans are from a brand called Just Black, and they are the boyfriend jean that is all distressed and ripped up. I love them. I probably wear them too often, and when I do, I actually have a friend who shakes her head every time and says, “You pull it off; but I just don’t get it….they have RIPS?!” Find you favorites here: www.justusablack.com
These super bright shoes are from Kenneth Cole and I bought them one year thinking, I should have yellow shoes. No reason other than that, and they are a great little pointed toe flat that adds a pop of color to a lot of my spring and summer outfits! They were under $40 and I have worn them many times over. Don’t hesitate to have something that doesn’t always make sense right away, especially a shoe….that’s where I think we can be really creative sometimes! This year it’s all about the lace up flats…check out a few styles here:
This necklace….can I just say, WOW! Stella & Dot knows how to do statement and they know how to do color. This is both and I love how it positively pops off this black. The engraved delicate piece is one I wear daily and it has all the initials of everyone in my family…it makes me happy. My arm party is my usual with the renegade bracelet, my double wrap Icon Watch and then that crazy coordinating Citron Travel Wallet! I love this! Super soft material, great hardware details, pockets and card spaces galore plus a spot to put your passport and other travel documents…..all while looking super cool. Nicely done accessories….nicely done
