Dear Rag & Bone: I love you. I love your denim. I love how I feel in it, I love how it looks on me, and I am ALWAYS grateful when I have someone come up to me out of nowhere and say, OMG I love those jeans! So, from one fashion loving gal to you….you nailed it with the Boyfriend Dre Fit and I’m eternally grateful….xoxo Taryn
Now for the breakdown:
This Christmas my husband bought me my second pair of this brand of jeans and I love how distressed and raw they are, compared to the pair I got a couple years ago. I literally waited a couple of weeks before I wore them, because I wanted whatever I wore to do them justice….have you ever done that?? You have an article of clothing you love; but can’t wear them with  just anything, so you wait until the entire outfit will be great! Maybe it’s just me being crazy like that….
In this particular photo shoot with Jonathan Ivy Photography, it was on a solid white background giving it a much more editorial feel from my typical pictures, I decided to show off three different ways to wear these that are not typical t-shirt / plaid button up / tank top look! I’m taking these awesome ripped up denim and pairing it in ways to wear out for date night with some sexy sequined booties, to a casual errand running / client meeting with a cheeky graphic T, to a lunch with friends / family. One jean, three great looks….with the hopes to inspire you to switch up the way you rock your ripped up jeans! (Be sure to come back to the blog to find the other two ways!)
ELEVATED CHIC
I am really drawn to this top because of it’s gorgeous breezy yet fitted material (100% silk, be still my heart), the fact that it looks like it’s a layered look in one piece, the detail around the collar and down the one side, making me think of a tuxedo pant, which elevates the entire top for me. Then at the same time, the cut of it, shows a little more skin that typical around my arms, in the neckline….that makes it just a little bit sexy too, which is PERFECT for date night with my man, right?! And even better….it’s Rag & Bone too!!
So the jeans make it a bit more casual in case you are going to a funky wine bar, to sit on a fun patio while listening to some live music, or out to dinner with a group of friends; (but if I’m totally honest, the first time I wore this was to my Thrive Creative Conference for Bloggers Friday night meet up)…and then, you see the boots. FULL ON SEQUIN boots that are sky high. YYEESSSS! They are from Nordstrom made by Lauren Lorraine.
In my personal opinion, finish this look with any big accessories because the focal point is definately the foot wear. Not only that, with this being a silk top, I didn’t want to wear anything that might snag or pull the material. I would die if it was THESE were also a gift from my hubby (don’t go give him all the credit….he had help on this one!) I feel these boots will only look “right” with certain things, and this to me, is totally unexpected, which makes it totally… my…. style. What do you think??

[…] I love how it turned out! Remember these boots from last Christmas?! A gift from my hubby and while I don’t have too many places to wear them (these heels are SO HIGH), most holiday parties will have a mix of sitting and standing so these […]
