The heat is on, and if you are like me, you are planning to get a few new things for the summer season; but also intend to wear some of last years styles all over again. ME TOO! Here I am sharing my favorite tank tops from LAST summer and fully intend to wear them …
Dress On Repeat
I absolutely love this dress. I got it on my birthday back in April….remember that post?? If not, FLASHBACK…it’s called BIRTHDAY SUIT Right after these pics were taken and we had had my birthday dinner with friends, I had it tailored slightly just to bring it up on the straps so that my bra wouldn’t show …
Pretty Skirt and a White Tshirt
So this is how my summer is going…..FAST; but sort of feeling long already. I’m not complaining…I do actually have immense gratitude for the opportunity that I have to stay home with my kids for these months, otherwise my word for summer would be EXPENSIVE! Bless all the mama’s out there who work and have …
Wear Anywhere Summer Style
I love a challenge, so recently, I was given an assignment to go to my nearest H&M, and pick out an article or an outfit, that suits my style. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to this store; but it was an all time favorite just a few short years ago, so I …
Day Dresses
Living in Texas means I get to embrace day dresses, because once Spring hits, its pretty much dress day any day! I’ve recently embraced chambray….oh I know, tell me about it! I’m SO behind the times; but oh my gosh this fabric is the most glorious!! Soft, light and flowy, perfect shade of pale blue….the only downside is that is wrinkles pretty quick. BUT, that’s certainly not the first fabric to share that characteristic; but I still love them, so I’m adding this to the list!
This feels like I’m wearing my PJ’s as I run around town getting my errands done; but looking much cuter! PLUS, it has pockets. I have a special place in my heart for a dress with pockets…. And do you see a trend? The longer in the back look holds true for me and I just can’t help but think it’s making this dress, “dressier”; but I didn’t feel overdressed for a morning coffee with a friend, while shopping with my birthday gift certificate at Nordstrom, while dropping my daughter off at a birthday part OR a heated round of glow in the dark mini golf with my son while we spent quality time together. This dress handled it all and I felt like a million bucks. All that got done while I paired it with some super cute and comfortable cage booties. To make this casual and effortless look come together I just went ahead and added a neutral crossbody bag! The neutral cream and sand colored woven fabric, along with the coordinating strap just seem to be the right combination of soft tones layered to not only finish the look; but add some texture and interest. And did you notice? The cross body can have the strap removed and work as a clutch! LOVE VERSATILITY!!
I love the accessory choices with this…of course its in gold; but I really feel like the long Sahara pendant, the ARC PENDANT and my engraved bar necklace from Stella & Dot were the way to go. I’m not sure a statement piece would have been the right choice. Something heavy and bulky to go with this soft and flowy dress. But then again, that’s the beauty of fashion…we all get to choose what WE like best! You don’t see me go anywhere without a good arm party, and the double wrap Icon Watch, gold Renegade Bracelet and Gilded Path White Double Wrap were a no brainer in my opinion. These rose gold Jimmy Choo aviators are my favorites to wear…have you noticed?! haha OH, and how about my puppy’s butt photobombing my selfie?!
I see this dress going into rotation this summer, and you know what…I’m kind of looking forward to wearing this little number with some cute ankle booties and a scarf, or maybe a cute leather jacket this Fall! Once again, I scored this outfit from Marshalls. The dress is from Cloth & Stone and I was able to buy it for under $50! Considering the shoes are my Payless Score from earlier in the year for under $35…I’m also feeling like one savvy shopper….when is the last time that happened to you?! Remember friends, style doesn’t always have to be expensive…just make sure a lot of what you buy can be worn a lot of different ways!
