Versatility is KEY

Wear the Dress

A woman sitting at an outdoor table drinking coffee.

I have a dress that I bought for a special occasion that I feel really great in. I mean, I feel like a million bucks and I have no idea why! This piece just has great material, great styling, the skirt is lined, it’s fitted / flattering but not tight, I had to save up for it, has a drop waist (my favorite) and a high low skirt. (ALSO, my favorite). I had to have it 3 years ago.  It’s not linkable now; but I’ve added a few cute options at the end!

SPECIAL OCCASION DRESS

While this dress was for a special occasion, I live such an exciting life (**sarcasm**) I don’t have a ton of places to WEAR this dress. UNTIL, that is, I realized it looks pretty good with flats. Does the dress look familiar? I posted about it in one of my first ever posts .

JUST WEAR THE DRESS

Life is short, just wear the dress. Yeah, I think you should. Maybe you can take something a little less casual, like a cut3e cardigan or blazer and pair it withit…that dresses it down a bit. Or what I did here and added flat strappy sandals. Worked for me! I toned down the accessories a bit and added some oversized, everyday sunglasses (all from Stella & Dot of course…check out my Finish the Look page for all the goodies to choose from!) and I’m feeling light, flowy and like one million bucks, while I meet a friend for coffee!!

Do you have something fun and flowy hanging in your closet, waiting for the next special occasion? Consider seeing if you can work it into your everyday style, just once in a while, so you can feel effortlessly chic, on a potentially random day. You know what I always say right?? There’s no bad time to look and feel your best!
