Do you have a blouse or top in your closet that you hang onto but just don’t know when you will wear it?! That’s this white blouse for me….I love it because it’s really different from most other blouses or tops I own. It’s longer so it looks wrong to tuck in the front and leave the back out like I do on MOST of my shirts. It has no collar or neckline….it’s meant to be buttoned right up! I never do that! And in the last few years, I have bought more off white, than full on white, so I always hum and haw when to wear it. BUT it was a great deal at Target (a couple years ago) from a very cool design collaboration with 3.1 Phillip Lim! (There is a ton of pieces from this collaboration on Ebay / Poshmark / Tradesy right now!)
My jeans are Rag & Bone and the boyfriend cut is different than the usual skinny leg or straight leg I’ve bought for years now; but I like it. And I really dig the way they distressed these without ripping them up.
To accessorize, I went with my Rose Gold Jimmy Choo Aviators…..I have come to really love the combination of silver and rose gold, so when I chose all silver and grey /pewter accessories for this outfit, the seemed like the right choice. And a little dressier than a heavier frame might be. And I am just so in love with the snakeskin detail that shows on the arm. The earrings are the incredibly popular and totally on trend EAR CLIMBERS in silver and are wearable whether you are 15 or 50! Plus, they are only $39!
Here’s my arm party!! I feel completely unfinished if I leave the house without one on, and as usual, it is a combination of that Icon Watch from Stella & Dot. I switched out the metallic band for the latte double wrap version, and paired that with the brand new triple wrap piece called the Lola Wrap Bracelet….wear it alone or paired with another piece and you will be ready to go. My clutch is vintage Stella & Dot. It was one of the very first small leather goods ever offered and with it being both pewter AND textured…..this baby stays with me.
And my shoes…I am a peep toe kind of gal. Thank goodness I live in Texas now, because life as an Alberta girl back in Canada only allowed for these types of shoes to compliment my wardrobe for a few months…here….anytime I want! These pewter heels have seams all throughout them, so the textured look gives them a lot more interest than if they were just a shiny, smooth heel. I’ve worn them with a very fancy dress or with jeans and a top, so they were a great purchase a few years back from…..guess?? SHOE DAZZLE! Now I am aware that my toenail polish is maybe a little too peachy; BUT, when your 7 year old daughter paints them for you so we can be “twinsies” you don’t argue.
This outfit was a slight tweek in my normal style and I liked it! Plus…how great does it look against the gorgeous greenery growing in my fabulous backyard?! Spring is officially here in Houston and I am so glad! What is it about this season of all things new puts a spring in YOUR step?
